Next Day Better + LA: Food for Thought: Filipino Tastemakers

On Saturday, August 8th, 2015 we had the honor and privilege to share our Social Products Filipino small-scale farmer advocacy + Mindanao rice demo sampling with the community at the Next Day Better + LA's third annual event, "Food for Thought: Filipino Tastemakers," at The Well in downtown LA.

With many influencers in the burgeoning Filipino Food Movement scene in LA, such as Eggslut & Ramen Champ Chef/Owner Alvin Cailan, LASA popup, Rice Bar LA, Kristine de la Cruz, owner of Créme Caramel, Kathleen Reyes of Thecavery.com, and The Park's Finest; among others, the positive energy and vibes at this sold out event was pretty contagious. Social Products' Justin Garrido was the first speaker, and afterwards we shared samples of our Mindanao black rice, as well as introduced our upcoming product the Mindanao rice medley launching early 2016.
